Perfection Is Overrated
Disco, Italo, Electro
Recorded in December 2009
Duration: 1 hour 40 mins
Was very tempted to have another go at this mix and iron out the rough bits, but I've grown to love it, defects and all.
Hope yous like it too.

Geoff Woade Is Feeling Better
Electro
Recorded in February 2008
Duration: 1:00:00
A nice electro mix that I lovingly prepared for the Discogs Mix Tournament. There's a good dose of Minimal
Rome at the start (what a label!) followed by a nice selection of other electro bits and pieces. Check out
that Luke Eargoggle too...
Staple Crate Classics
Techno classics!
Recorded in February 2008
Duration: 1:00:00
My submission into DMT 8. It won the peak time category, hoora! Anyways, it's a
collection of familiar techno tunes, mostly from the mid-nineties.
Acid Assault
Acid, Techno
Recorded in February 2008
Duration: 100 mins
Mostly acid of a harder nature with a dose of techno here and there to keep the balance.
Features perhaps my favourite acid record (although that's a tough one), Neon EP on Magnetic North.
Turn On, Tune In, Drop Bass
Midwest Acid!
Recorded in January 2008
Duration: 1:37:48
I was always a bit dubious about doing a mix with records from just one label,
but I heard a few on the discogs mixes forum that turned out pretty well.
Anyways, I came round to the idea and thought I'd give it a bash for Drop Bass
Network - the label that originally fuelled my obsession for all things acid.
To this day, Drop Bass slipmats have pride of place on my decks. The mix starts
off with some of the mid tempo tunes, drops back a notch at Somatic Responses
and then there's a few of the faster ones at the end.
Robot Soul

Proof of the Pudding
Funk, Soul, Jazz
Recorded in February 2007
Duration: 70:03

An Ode To Dodgy Tony
Acid, Techno
Recorded in February 2007
Duration 56:28
Fairly full-on techno and acid throughout. This mix features one of my all time favourite
acid moments, a live track by P909 from one of Drop Bass Network's Even Further festivals
in 1995. Other highlights include classics from Drop Bass, Magnetic North, Tresor,
Music Man ...check it out!
Never Move The Goalie
Acid, Techno
Recorded in November 2006
Duration: an hour-ish
Opens with some minimal techno. Develops into techno and acid with some classics
from R&S, Warp and Red Planet. The name of the mix derives itself from a strategy
of defence against a table football move called "die Beschleunigung", meaning
"the acceleration" (invented by de Hagel). As the name "Never Move the Goalie"
suggests, one needs to keep the goalie absolutely still to have any chance of defence.
However, it is surprisingly difficult not to be tempted to react to the attack.
Just Refuelling Stay On Board
Acid, Techno
Recorded in March 2006
Duration: 80 mins-ish
The words "Just Refuelling Stay On Board" used to be subliminally projected onto a piece
of material hanging from the ceiling of Le Bateau in Liverpool during Voodoo club nights
on a Saturday. If anybody remembers Voodoo around the mid nineties, they'd probably agree
that the place had a unique atmosphere and was home to some amazing nights! This mix is an
attempt to recreate some of that magic.

The Dribble Factory
Old school hip-hop
Recorded in Bern, 2002
Duration: an hour-ish
An old school breaks and hip-hop type of thing. If you can see past my novice scratching
(don't worry, limited to two places), it's quite a nice mix. Features a dope cover of
The Revolution Will Not Be Televised and a nugget of latin excellence at the end.

Itchy Itchy Scratchy Scratchy
Old school hip-hop
Recorded End of 1999
Duration: an hour-ish
A mix of scratchy hip-hop and other funky bits and pieces. Quite a technical mix,
it's my own modest first steps into the world of turntablism. Definitely the best
mix I ever made, even has cult status in some circles! Features tracks from Rob
Swift, Isolationists, X-Ecutioners, DJ Premier, Mixmaster Mike, DJ Krush, Marlena
Shaw and Ugly Duckling. Comes complete with sample of Montague Withnail.
